Liberal Arts Network of the Philippines

The established Liberal Arts Network of the Philippines will be reinstated this year in order to connect to other Liberal Arts Colleges, which will initially start in Metro Manila and eventually expand nationwide. This will extend various programs and opportunities that all these respective universities have to both our college and theirs as well. Community Development Project

Through partnering with the Center for Social Concern and Action (COSCA), the Arts College Government will be adopting a community in which we will be spearheading long term programs centered on social development and community assistance – all of which are based on their corresponding needs.

International Volunteer Funding Program

This program offers the students of the College of Liberal Arts the opportunity to be of service to local communities in over 35 destinations both in the Philippines and abroad in partnership with International Volunteer HQ. Akbayan 114

Akbayan 114 is an avenue for the 114 branches to reconnect with other batchmates and to be able to exude their Lasallian identity before they graduate. This project will be a week long educational outreach for out of school youth around the Lasallian campus.

Thesis What Dreams Are Made Of

This project aims to enrich outstanding thesis in their respective departments. The faculty of the department will be voting for four exemplary thesis; each of which may be awarded with a certificate, medal (Gold, Silver, (2) Bronze), or fund for publication.

CONNECT: Bridging CLA students to new possibilities

This program addresses the students’ needs by focusing on providing instructional media on the basic knowledge necessary for practicum and job applications. It also aims to connect the students with opportunities from external organizations inclined to the Liberal Arts. This advocacy-based competition provides FAST2015 students the opportunities to apply and hone their knowledge and skills in coming up with ideas addressing the various socio-civic issues closest to CLA students’ hearts. Writings on the Wall

A week-long activity where various national issues are showcased through a gallery. It focuses on social awareness to expose students on relevant current events and experience to be socially involved by seeing an outside world even if enclosed by walls. CLArut’s goal is to recognize the LGBT community in the university by sharing their stories, views, and stands on certain social and stereotypical issues. Through this, they will be able to share their journey towards becoming strong and empowered members of society.
